Data protection statement for social media
Currently, it has not yet been settled in how far social networks offer their services in accordance to the European data protection regulation.
Therefore, we call attention to the fact that social networks as services save and process data of their users for commercial ends (e.g. personal information, IP addresses) according to their own data protection statements.
We cannot influence the collection of data and their further use by social networks. There is no knowledge on the extent, the place and the duration of saving these data as well as on the networks’ attitude towards the obligation to delete content, to the analysis, linking and passing on of data.
